A member of TWHBEA, WHOA, S.H.O.W., and previous 30 year member of GWHEA, Knowledge, integrity and honesty is what should be demanded of every judge no matter what the breed or show class venue, and every single exhibitor should receive undivided and equal attention. I am a huge proponent of honesty in judging and do my utmost to follow my mission statement of "Knowledge, Integrity and Honesty in Center Ring". My background of training, showing, breeding and judging horses would, I believe, be an asset to the Alabama Open Shows.

Tracy Montgomery Auburn, AL Phone:  334-401-0234

My name is Tracy Montgomery, I am an equestrian judge, coach and horse trainer from Southern California who recently relocated to Auburn, Alabama. I was born and raise in Southern California and have been in the equestrian business and show pen for more than 30 years and judged hundreds of horse shows.

I would love to be considered to judge any of your upcoming open horse shows. I have owned and operated Montgomery Show Horses in California where I trained Paint and Quarter Horses for the All-Around events (Halter, Showmanship, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunt Seat Equitation, Western Pleasure, Western Equitation/Horsemanship, Trail, and Western Riding).

I led my students and their horses to multiple World Titles, Top Five and Top Ten honors in the AQHA, APHA, PtHA, and PBHA World Shows in Showmanship, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Western Riding, Trail, Hunter Under Saddle and Hunt Seat Equitation.

I have been praised by many of the associations and exhibitors as to my fair, unbiased and friendly approach to judging. I strongly believe that politics should not play any part in open horse shows. Open horse shows are that, “Open to any breed” so no matter what breed is presented before me I believe that best horse and rider team should take the blue ribbon.

Joseph (Joe) Munie New Braunfels, TX Phone:  830-237-2493

Kristi Norris Brundidge, AL Phone:  256-591-1096
Diane Oraif Fosters, AL Phone:  205-366-9283
With five decades of horse experience I have been exposed to almost every training and riding discipline imaginable. I have been fortunate to have been schooled in Dressage, Western Pleasure, Hunt Seat, Racking, and Arabian Park Seat. I have shown and have the ability to judge Halter, Gaited, Hunter and Western. I came up through 4-H, which included a horse judging team. I worked in gaited horse show barns, while for myself having AQHA. Have taught riding lessons professionally, and trained many horses for others. While my extensive horse experience is important, it is not the primary quality in a good judge. What is important is the dedication a judge has in studying the individual components of a horse's conformation or performance, as compared to the ideal. I make an effort to keep up with latest trends in what the breed associations are looking for. For example horses' headsets in the western pleasure classes have been a major issue, therefore I pay attention to the recent statements by the AQHA that it should it be a major fault if a horse appears too overbridled, intimidated or overdone, as reflected to changes in their rule book. We as judges are to look for correct cadence, consistency, as expressed at the 2012 AQHA Judges Seminar in Dallas. Horses without forward impulsion, and those who break gait and are over-canted will be penalized per the recommendation of the breed association. As for Racking horses, there is a distinct manner of travel put out by the RHBA. Consistency, obedience, being a pleasure to ride and correct manner of travel will be noticed more than a big flashy lick on a horse which breaks gait and travels inconsistently. As a judge, I have the responsibility to compare a class against what the breed organizations state is the ideal for that particular class, and I am pledging a commitment to remain true to that example. Horse shows are for the betterment of our chosen profession or hobby, whichever it may be, and it's to be taken seriously enough to demand honesty, and the ability to articulate fairly why a class is placed a certain way. I will place competitors that meet the correct criteria regardless of politics, or amount of silver as long as shown with good workmanlike equipment.

I have years of experience working in horse show entry booths, horse show management, ordering ribbons, selling ads for programs, ect--for both open shows and AQHA shows. This makes me very understanding of the need to keep things running smoothly on horse show day. I am very approachable, with people skills, but the one things about me is my great love for all horses and those who choose showing them. I have also coached young riders to prepare for their first horse shows.

Currently showing in AQHA competing in Trail, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Ranch Riding and Halter. Have been Reserve Congress Halter Champion, hold ROM Performance Certificate and qualified for Select World Show in Trail and Showmanship. Before I began competing again, I was a horse show mom for my daughter. She had many Top Ten Congress and World placings in Western and English events and was Reserve Congress Champion Halter Geldings several years ago. I started out showing quarter horses in open shows when I was in high school and competed in South Alabama Northwest Florida Horseman’s Association. During this time I judged 4H shows and held clinics on grooming and showing horses. I also owned a Racking Horse and although didn’t show him was knowledgeable on gaited horse competition. My husband is a veterinarian and I am very knowledgeable on horse conformation and soundness. I would love the opportunity to be involved in judging again and would be available to judge in Alabama, Georgia and North Florida.
